The Taubert Lab is growing! We're welcome in September 2020 two new graduate students, Rachel & Brendil, one new rotation student, Richard, and two new undergraduate students, Jonas and Blake! Looking forward to all the great science these new team members will do!

Caitlyn Xu is a new graduate student in the lab and a member of the Cell & Developmental Biology graduate program. She completed her BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UBC. In the Taubert lab she will work on lipid disequilibrium activation of the unfolded protein response. Welcome!
Welcome to our new (and old) Work-Learn students! Alice will be returning after her summer project in our lab, while Luxcia is new! We're pleased to have them for the next two terms!
Deema Al Husari is a new grad student in the Taubert lab! She has joined the Medical Genetics graduate program and will explore stress responses in C. elegans. Deema hails from the UAE and has previously work on the development of the optical neurons in Drosophila. We're happy to have her!
UPDATED: with press release from BCCHR: Congrats Alex Kadhim for winning a Canucks for Kids Fund Childhood Diabetes Laboratories Graduate Studentship. Alex will continue studying transcriptional regulators in the development and function of beta cells in mice. Outstanding! Congratulations to MEDG PhD student Kelsie Doering on winning a UBC 4-year fellowship for her graduate research! Fantastic achievement!
