Caitlyn Xu is a new graduate student in the lab and a member of the Cell & Developmental Biology graduate program. She completed her BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UBC. In the Taubert lab she will work on lipid disequilibrium activation of the unfolded protein response. Welcome!

Deema Al Husari is a new grad student in the Taubert lab! She has joined the Medical Genetics graduate program and will explore stress responses in C. elegans. Deema hails from the UAE and has previously work on the development of the optical neurons in Drosophila. We're happy to have her!

Congrats Alex Kadhim for winning a Canucks for Kids Fund Childhood Diabetes Laboratories Graduate Studentship. Alex will continue studying transcriptional regulators in the development and function of beta cells in mice. Outstanding!
